To use, just drop the weighted string into the bell of the instrument, then pull the string (and the silk swab itself) through your alto clarinet. As the silk passes through the alto clarinet, it removes build-up from inside the instrument. It is perfect for the mouthpiece, as well. Care instructions for the swab are a breeze, too.
